Rachel Reinders started dancing after being dragged to a dance by her parents, then loved it so much, nothing could keep her away and she’s been dancing International ever since. Shortly after seeing the Holiday Folk Fair, she began performing, first with Kaloniot (the Israeli group) for 8 years, then joining Viata Romeneasca (the Romanian group) shortly after. Later, she added the Na Lesa Bulgarian group to her repertoire. She met her husband, John, while dancing, which led to adding 2 years with Dnipro (Ukrainian group) and several more with the Kipikat (Finnish) dance group to her repertoire.

Rachel is famed as one of the few dancers who have near-simultaneously performed with 4 different ethnic dance troupes, on 2 stages, at the Milwaukee Holiday Folk Fair. Her recreational dancing included leading one of Milwaukee's dance groups through several years of difficult transitions in the past and is currently sometimes seen with the local recreational groups doing Israeli, Irish Ceil, Irish Set, Contra, and English Colonial dancing, in addition to helping DJ the recreational ethnic dancing group in Milwaukee. Lately, Rachel has been assisting John Lampi in running sound for local contra dances, parties, and for a variety of dance camps.
