Door County Folk Festival
Joan Wallace began dancing with the Omaha International Folk Dancers in 1986, where she danced until moving to Madison in 2017. In Omaha, she regularly taught and ran music during weekly dancing, and also participated in and organized local and regional performances. She has quickly adapted to her new group in Madison and is one of several group members who share in teaching. She has attended many dance workshops over the years, including June Camp, Tapestry, Door County, and Omaha’s famous Pink Party. She is especially fond of Romanian, Vlach, Turkish, and Romany dances.
